Assistance & transportation

Water, first aid and transportation are provided all four days by volunteers of the Company of St. René Goupil.

The Company transports weary pilgrims and those pilgrims who can no longer walk, or, in emergency, brings them to hospital.

Those pilgrims not reasonably expected to meet the physical demands of long-distance walking and penetential victuals and camping are asked to join the 'modified pilgrimage'.

Pilgrims must carry their own water (supplied), and prepare for their own basic first aid: 'blister-kits', aspirin & the like.

ALL PILGRIMS PARTICIPATE AT THEIR OWN RISK, MUST OBTAIN THEIR OWN AND SPOUSE/CHILDREN'S PERSONAL MEDICAL INSURANCE, & MUST SIGN RELEASE OF LIABILITY FORM ON REGISTRATION FORM.

For pilgrims traveling by public transportation (PT) or/and to recover one's vehicle at the end of all events in 2014, organizers provide shuttle-service Thursday, 18 September from the PT terminal and the Auriesville Shrine to accommodations in Lake George Village.

Pilgrims must request this service after registering. Use the Transportation Request Form to request the shuttle service.

Important Note: Prior to finalizing your public transportation reservations, please contact Dennis Mitchell (in charge of shuttling pilgrims) to be sure he and his Team of volunteers can meet your arrival-time connections, and so that you can meet your departure-time connections.

You can reach Dennis until midnight (11:59 P.M. EDT), Wednesday 17 September, via e-mail, and thereafter only by cellular at, 610/390-9507.

For more information about your transportation needs, see the FAQs.
